Det var slutet av juli sommaren 2019 och Motalas \u00e5rliga stadsfestival p\u00e5gick f\u00f6r fullt.<\/p>\n

Johan Riddarstr\u00f6m hade gett sig ut p\u00e5 stan tillsammans med n\u00e5gra kompisar, och eftersom det var mitt p\u00e5 dagen reagerade flera av dem p\u00e5 att han sluddrade.<\/p>\n

Hj\u00e4rnfonden<\/h3>\n

Hj\u00e4rnfonden arbetar med insamling och finansiering av hj\u00e4rnforskning, samt kunskapsspridning och samh\u00e4lls­f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring f\u00f6r att alla hj\u00e4rnor ska n\u00e5 sin fulla potential, fria fr\u00e5n sjukdomar. Kallas f\u00f6r dj\u00e4vulens sjukdom<\/h2>\n

Johan bokade in en tid hos sin l\u00e4kare som f\u00f6rst trodde att hans sluddrande tal kunde vara stressrelaterat och att han var sp\u00e4nd i k\u00e4ken. Men sedan b\u00f6rjade han \u00e4ven ha sv\u00e5rt att h\u00e4nga med under fotbollstr\u00e4ningarna.<\/p>\n

Under h\u00f6sten fick Johan g\u00f6ra flera unders\u00f6kningar hos olika l\u00e4kare och i februari 2020 kom beskedet att han hade ALS. De flesta som drabbas av nervsjukdomen ALS, som \u00e4ven kallas dj\u00e4vulens sjukdom, \u00e4r mellan 50 och 70 \u00e5r gamla och m\u00e5nga lever bara tv\u00e5 till tre \u00e5r efter diagnosen. Johan var bara 27 \u00e5r gammal n\u00e4r han fick sjukdomen och skulle snart bli pappa f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen.<\/p>\n

Startade en insamling<\/h2>\n

Inspirerad av Johan och hans fru Linn\u00e9as inst\u00e4llning, som var att k\u00f6ra p\u00e5 och inte ge upp, best\u00e4mde sig Sebastian f\u00f6r att starta en egen insamling via Hj\u00e4rnfonden till forskningen om ALS.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Efter bara en vecka var insamlingen uppe i 100 000 kronor, detta trots att vi enbart delade den via v\u00e5ra egna sociala medier, s\u00e4ger Sebastian K\u00e4ller.<\/p>\n

Sedan dess har Sebastian och Christoffer fortsatt att samla in pengar till forskningen. De har gjort allt fr\u00e5n att anordna padelturneringar till att b\u00f6rja s\u00e4lja armband med budskapet \u201cFight ALS\u201d. I dag har de samlat in n\u00e4stan en miljon kronor, men de har inte satt n\u00e5got slutdatum f\u00f6r sitt engagemang.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Vi letar hela tiden efter nya s\u00e4tt att samla in pengar och bidra till att l\u00f6sa ALS-g\u00e5tan. Exempelvis kommer jag och 27 andra v\u00e4nner till Johan att cykla V\u00e4tternrundan f\u00f6r ALS-forskningen. Det var Johans tidigare lagkamrater fr\u00e5n bandylaget som initierade den insamlingen. De ville g\u00f6ra n\u00e5got f\u00f6r honom och undrade om vi kunde hj\u00e4lpa till, ber\u00e4ttar Christoffer Idmar.<\/p>\n

\u2013 H\u00e4lften av det vi f\u00e5r in under V\u00e4tternrundan kommer att g\u00e5 till insamlingen hos Hj\u00e4rnfonden och h\u00e4lften kommer att g\u00e5 till Johan f\u00f6r ink\u00f6p av hj\u00e4lpmedel som han beh\u00f6ver. Sedan Johan fick diagnosen ALS har han l\u00e5ngsamt blivit s\u00e4mre, men han l\u00e5ter sig inte begr\u00e4nsas av sjukdomen. F\u00f6rra sommaren f\u00f6ddes hans andra barn och han jobbar fortfarande 75 procent som bygglovshandl\u00e4ggare f\u00f6r Motala kommun.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Johan och Linn\u00e9a lever p\u00e5 som vanligt och ser till att g\u00f6ra allt de vill. Nyligen var de i USA och tittade p\u00e5 Formel 1 och snart ska de \u00e5ka p\u00e5 semester till Grekland, ber\u00e4ttar Sebastian K\u00e4ller.<\/p>\n
