\u2013 Bem\u00f6tande och f\u00f6rh\u00e5llningss\u00e4tt gentemot elever med NPF \u00e4r det allra viktigaste, konstaterar Joanna Lundin, bitr\u00e4dande rektor p\u00e5 en skola i Botkyrka.<\/p>\n

I b\u00f6rjan av 00-talet gick hon en NPF-utbildning inom L\u00e4rarlyftet och n\u00e4r hennes tidigare arbetsplats, K\u00e4llbrinksskolan i Huddinge, blev en del av organisationen Attentions skolprojekt, uts\u00e5gs Joanna till NPF-pedagog.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Projektet handlade b\u00e5de om att skapa en skola d\u00e4r elever med NPF kunde g\u00e5 och att \u00f6ka kunskapen kring NPF.<\/p>\n

Att anpassa en skola s\u00e5 att den ocks\u00e5 passar de h\u00e4r eleverna \u00e4r ett arbete p\u00e5 flera plan. P\u00e5 K\u00e4llbrinksskolan utbildade man kontinuerligt all skolpersonal i vad olika NPF diagnoser inneb\u00e4r, men ocks\u00e5 eleverna, f\u00f6r att skapa b\u00e4ttre f\u00f6rst\u00e5else.<\/p>\n

Den fysiska milj\u00f6n \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 avg\u00f6rande:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Vi skapade hemklassrum d\u00e4r eleverna hade sina flesta lektioner, s\u00e5 att eleverna skulle slippa springa runt, och m\u00f6blerade p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt som minimerade intryck.<\/p>\n

Hj\u00e4rnfonden<\/h3>\n

Hj\u00e4rnfonden arbetar f\u00f6r ett samh\u00e4lle d\u00e4r alla hj\u00e4rnor n\u00e5r sin fulla potential, fria fr\u00e5n sjukdomar. Det m\u00f6jligg\u00f6rs genom insamling och finansiering av hj\u00e4rnforskning, samt kunskaps­spridning och opinionsbildning. Viktiga pusselbitar<\/h2>\n

Tydliga scheman, tydlig lektionsstruktur och kognitiva hj\u00e4lpmedel var ocks\u00e5 viktiga pusselbitar i detta arbete.<\/p>\n

Resultatet av NPF-projektet p\u00e5 K\u00e4llbrinksskolan var m\u00e4rkbart:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Vi upplevde att elever som annars troligen skulle haft sv\u00e5rt att lyckas i skolan tog sig vidare till gymnasiet. Och framf\u00f6r allt blev eleverna tryggare och mer sj\u00e4lvmedvetna.<\/p>\n

Joanna Lundin tycker att en hel del f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrats de senaste \u00e5ren och att mycket av arbetet de gjorde p\u00e5 K\u00e4llbrinksskolan \u00e4r sj\u00e4lvklarheter idag. Som att NPF i dag \u00e4r en obligatorisk del i l\u00e4rarutbildningen.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Numera har skolpersonal god kunskap om vad NPF-diagnoser inneb\u00e4r. D\u00e4remot m\u00e4rks inte alltid s\u00e5 stor skillnad i hur man arbetar. Ofta handlar det om ork och f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar, om resurs- och pengabrist som l\u00e4gger krokben, menar Joanna Lundin.<\/p>\n

Digitala verktyg kan g\u00f6ra skillnad<\/h2>\n

Torkel Klingberg \u00e4r professor i kognitiv neurovetenskap vid Karolinska Institutet och forskar kring barns utveckling och l\u00e4rande. Enligt honom \u00e4r det mycket i dagens skola som missgynnar barn med NPF. Som till exempel mindre l\u00e4rarledd undervisning och det f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntade sj\u00e4lvledarskapet bland barnen.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Det kan l\u00e5ta bra, men om man inte har kapacitet att organisera sitt eget l\u00e4rande och har koncentrationssv\u00e5righeter kan detta bli mycket utmanande f\u00f6r barnet.<\/p>\n

Han anser ocks\u00e5 att inf\u00f6randet av datorer brett i undervisningen kan vara ett problem.<\/p>\n

\u2013 Jag har propagerat f\u00f6r l\u00e4rob\u00f6cker, i st\u00e4llet f\u00f6r bred anv\u00e4ndning av digitala l\u00e4romedel och information utspridd p\u00e5 internet. Datorer kan leda till \u00f6kade distraktioner eftersom det riskerar att man hoppar vidare till n\u00e4sta flik. I vissa situationer kan digitala verktyg, om de anv\u00e4nds p\u00e5 r\u00e4tt s\u00e4tt, dock g\u00f6ra skillnad.<\/p>\n

Distraktionsfria milj\u00f6er och tydlighet<\/h2>\n

En ostrukturerad klassrumsmilj\u00f6, d\u00e4r olika intryck pockar p\u00e5 uppm\u00e4rksamheten, \u00e4r ett annat problem. En elev med NPF-diagnos har sv\u00e5rare \u00e4n andra att filtrera irrelevant inneh\u00e5ll, som pling fr\u00e5n mobiler, skrap med stolar, sm\u00e5prat mellan kamrater.<\/p>\n

\u2013 F\u00f6r barn med koncentrationssv\u00e5righeter \u00e4r det extra viktigt med distraktionsfria milj\u00f6er, liksom med tydlighet i undervisningen.<\/p>\n

Torkel Klingberg \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 \u00e4r noga med att po\u00e4ngtera att anpassningar i skolmilj\u00f6n och undervisningen \u00e4r gynnsamma f\u00f6r betydligt fler \u00e4n enbart elever med NPF-diagnoser.<\/p>\n

\u2013 M\u00e5nga av de h\u00e4r principerna g\u00e4ller f\u00f6r v\u00e4ldigt m\u00e5nga barn. \u00c4ven om det ocks\u00e5 \u00e4r viktigt att vi kommer ih\u00e5g att NPF-elever inte b\u00f6r ses som en separat kategori barn, skild fr\u00e5n andra. VAD \u00c4R NPF?<\/h3>\n

Neuropsykiatrisk funktionsneds\u00e4ttning, NPF, \u00e4r ett samlingsnamn f\u00f6r olika tillst\u00e5nd som p\u00e5verkar hur hj\u00e4rnan och nervsystemet fungerar och hanterar information – vilket kan leda till olika kognitiva och sociala sv\u00e5righeter.
I begreppet NPF ryms diagnoserna ADHD, ADD, autismspektrumtillst\u00e5nd, spr\u00e5k\u00adst\u00f6rning, motoriska problem samt tics och Tourettes syndrom.<\/p>\n
